If you're thinking about doing this ride - get the feck on your bike and do it - if I can trundle around it anyone can

Cheers all, you made it a fantastic first adventure ride for this wolfie
    You did really well!
Especially on Saturday evening going over all that big chunky gravel in the dark, in the rain

So which larger adventure bikes have you been perving at on Trademe?
The road to hell is paved...

Would have been good to ride home with you,

I think we all need helmet cams for the next trip so the evidence is undisputable, a certain KLR and Husqvarna stopped following me for a while near the coast but denied having gone shrub cutting (I have my suspicions but no evidence).

I was stopped past Welcome Bay almost in Tauranga proper and ended up back tracking over the Kaimais, it was certainly unpleasant riding until I got close to Auckland.

    Next time!

Friday saw Welllington and Wairarapa riders meeting at Bulls and making their way up to Taupo via the Whanganui River road.

The road from Taupo out to the start was very foggy and cold. Cold enough for the moisture to freeze on the front of bikes and jackets and the 950 drop to one cylinder not long before we arrived at the pub.

That is a coincidence, I was running on one when I arrived at the pub also!:

I finally made it at 0832, obviously to an empty car park, what time did people actually head off?
