First time out to the sandpit

Hi there me and my mate are heading out to the sandpit this weekend for our first proper ride on the dirt bikes.

Just wondering if there is scrutineering like they do at track days for road bikes?
Do they have a look over the bikes etc, and what do they look at?

    Cheers

If the girls are on warden duty they will check your tackle (read gear) out, LOL.

No, its very low key. Turn up with your bike. Sign your life away on the disclaimers and ride the tracks.
Saying that we are VERY strict on the basics. That being always wear the helmet, follow the arrows and make sure you go in the right direction. Beware of hooning in the car park as the sand can get onto the wardens cucumber sandwiches and thats not so good.

There are a full set of rules on the board, common sense is always welcome. Enjoy.

I've gotta say if your not confortable on dirtbikes the sand pit may be quite a shock haha. Riding in deep sand for the first time can be pretty tough and if your unexperienced on a dirt bike i'm not sure i'd wanna start on deepish sand.

They do have a few lil gravel roads you can start out on if so.

I wouldn't hesitate to get up the sandpit, you'll quickly master riding the sand, they've got tons of different tracks, just ask someone for the wider/easier tracks to start on. Just lean back a little more than you would on other terrain and crank the gas!
