I will be riding a farm 4 wheeler, do I need proper MX boots or will my leather work boots be ok?
Safety-wise it shouldn't make any difference, unless you plan on being a complete arse on the bike (sometimes ya gotta) but I think your decision needs to be focussed on just how much mud there will be around and how full of shit you want to get your work boots. MX boots are designed to just hose off and hiff in the cupboard - not so leather work boots.

Thanks, I dont really have any intension of being a hoon, just out for a ride, will leave the hooning to hubby who has all the right gear.
I dont think there will be alot of mud, but if there is then I guess I get wet feet and will learn that mx boots are a better option.
I take it you are experienced on the 4 wheeler? If not, they can be horrible to ride for hours.. very hard on the arms etc.
Sounds like you are with experienced crew though.. so maybe you will be fine. Hope you have a great day out!
