Some pics of the '09 MotoGP Philip Island

Hey i went over to this event last year awesome!! Anyway just thought id share a few pics, i made a album in my profile. The pic im proud of is the cover, i was just shootin some snaps and got a bike almost heading straight towards me! He was alright and had a lil chat to him.

just missed another decent crash but unfortunately he didnt get up he got stretchered off. Both happened on the Siberia corner which had awesome views.

Surely a few of you guys went over aswell? Anyone planning on headin back this year?

Been there twice before, great innit? I booked the coach and entry to the Island online, piece of cake. I just walked to the rendevous point in central Melbourne from my accomodation and the coaches took us away. The best bit is the noise IMHO!

Yea we just hired a falcooon and did the driving, was heapsa fun! did you see the pic with the one burnout mark up the road? good ol rental cars haha... But yea man the noise is unbelievable! So cant wait to get back there! Love it how the Boarg (sp) beer tents are conveniantly placed so that when you run outta beer theres a tent right infront of ya!

We were also supposed to get a coperate box, but it fell through... Although i honestly would rather the grass pass, you can walk around everywhere heaps more fun! musta done about 5 laps of the track

Yes the first time I went I had a grandstand pass, but like you ended up walking around the track. I fry like an egg in the sun and there was no shade for me on the stands, those aussies just sat in the sun all day tanning their shitlockers, they didn't give a toss. Quite amusing to see all those ZZ Top/Harley Rider/Gang member lookalikes on Jap bikes I thought. Will go again and take my son with me.
