Damn I'd love to be able to afford to collect bikes.

Can anyone else see Hamish praying to all the Gods ever known to man that Lynda does NOT see this thread.

But can you afford the maintenace bills ? A bike like that'd be full of unobtaimium bits and pieces

Would be great to own a bike this famous , No doubt it'll end up in some Hollywood actors collection such as Martin Sheen or the Jedi guy from Starwars II.
Still , I wonder if they'd swapped for a slighty used yellow 748R owned by the famous in my own lounge Mooch . I bet my bike as has seen less track time ......

Try this link. They are supposed to manufacture the best Ducati parts bar none, even better than original.
A few years ago I saw two of their bikes racing and they were awesome.

Would I miss it with a thread title like that???!!!!!

Hey, thanks VTWIN - Hamish may never speak to you again, but then once I've sold his kidneys and one lung, and since he'll be working three jobs to pay for my new accessory, he won't out on the bikes much anyway so it won't matter.

Seriously though, if I had the money sitting around doing nothing (which I don't) I might put in a silly bid. But I'd prefer if it was #155......

The trouble with buying old race bikes is that they often end up with all sorts of bits from other bikes because they blow up, get crashed, bits get robbed etc etc. Sure only 2 were made originally but I'll bet there are several spare engines and frames etc kicking about just waiting for someone to buy this and they will enter stage left...

    Nice but no thanks....
