Was out and about on the back roads today, went down a road I had never before ventured and as I made my way down a goat track I got a hell of a view opening up for me. So good that I stopped to take a few photo's.

Is it an iPhone 3GS? If so the image metadata will contain the GPS coordinates of wherever it was taken.

You must have location services off then. If you don't, then find the original iphone image file (the one labelled IMG_XXX where XXX = digits) then right click > properties, and you should see "GPS LAT" and "GPS LONG" or similar in the "Details" tab (XP/Vista/7)

Ya, already looked under properties, Lots of details, No GPS data so perhaps its turned off.

It's in the area between Utiki and the ranges. South of Taihape. North of Vinegar Hill. And that's the Rangitaiki (sp?) River.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
