I always try to snap a few bike pics on holiday.

I thought that spring would be well underway in Europe when we went over on 1 April. Four of us did a road trip so easiest option was by rental car (me being a soft cock and all), but I always have an eye out for bikers.

We weren't expecting it to snow in the Swiss Alps, but it did, and it didn't stop some hardy souls riding through on their bikes. We went the San Bernardino tunnel route to Italy and saw some bikes going the other way. Car starting blinking a red light ice warning on the dash as outside temp dropped to around zero.

In Pisa spotted this bike with its top box well wrapped.

When driving from Pisa to Cannes saw plenty of bikes on the Autostrada and funny thing is they were a bit of a pain because they were generally going slower than the cars and getting in the way - speed limit is 130, but many cars were going faster.

Here's a couple more BMW traillies think they own the road - pity they weren't keeping up with the traffic and I'm only doing 84 stuck behind them go figure.

Mainly scooters in Genoa (like most of Italy's cities) but a few bikes here and there.

Some scooter riders behave, most are suicidal continually crossing the centre line and cutting back within millimetres of the front of the car when something comes the other way whether the line of cars is slow or fast at the time. Pics are in Cannes except Plod and last pic are in Monaco.

Plenty of scooters in Monaco, while his Royal Highness looks out the window.

The Yamaha TMax seems to be a weapon of choice. Can even get an aftermarket pipe for them.

You wouldn't say they have large bike shops in Paris.

Good stuff Mate - I bet you miss the 2 wheeler when you see them, the pics bring back fond memories of Milan from October (Bike show).

Check out the new Junior Duke I spotted....
