Pretty sure that road runs over the stream now.

Can you assure me that there will be no sharks in those streams? I don't like sharks.

If the tide's right and it's been raining, if you're heading toward Warkworth via Woodcocks, just before the last one way bridge, turn left. It's called Falls Road, takes you through to the lights at Warkworth and has a stream you can ride over with the right conditions.
It ain't a gravel road though (hey, you can't have everything all the time).

your sealed route includes no gravel (well what i saw of it this morning before duncan was finished with it)

next issue, Danae's bike won't be going until sunday at the earliest, and Rally NZ is this weekend.... ok just checked and there shouldn't be any road closures in the area on sunday

... and there are 34 more Sundays in 2010. Which one exactly are you aiming to have it done by? :P

Well if we're vague enough we can never be late.

All very well and good, but what about sharks? You still haven't addressed the question that was raised about the possibility of sharks if there are stream crossings. Rain could make it worse!. I don't like sharks. I think you need to clarify that point.
