Yep...Steve saved the day for me at the Taupo track when he offered to take my bent rearset back to his workshop and attempt to fix it.

Stop saying such nice things about him - you'll make him blush, and I haven't known of that to happen for many many years! He's going to have to up his unpopular and comfortzone-challenging campaigns on here in order to reestablish the cyberspace perception of him that people expect.

Okay, I've said this 1,061 times - KatMan is a good bastard. He is an important part of this here community, and despite having the people skills of a pitbull with PMS, his heart is actually in the right place. And for the record, I'm glad someone is here to balance to Yang of the Craver's etc.

As for the Conti's - yeah, I've had the same experience, but it seems to happen on the meaty part of the tire, not in the centre, so I get two bands of wire showing. For some reason they go from having a good amount of tread to wire showing with a single heat cycle. It's happened to me when the road is cold, and I've been trying to keep heat in the tire. I get about 800 k's out of a Conti Attack on the road.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
