haha thats the aim, but they have a wrx engine, and theres a few in upper hutt that a lowerd + the worx. I've been in one of them done up by the mechanic who owns, big front mount gives it away and that thing moves.Originally Posted by scumdog
No you lot. The best --the Very best is to pull alongside them at some lights
put on the full racer starting stance revving the engine.
They get all het up and rev their car .
The lights turn green and you just sit there -as they go barrelling straight towards a trafic patrol car you know is parked in a sidestreet nearby.
To totally add insult to injury you ride past at the speed limit laughing your head off
You understand that I would Never do such a thing --strictly hypothetical

I know it's childish, but I embarrassed a guy in his modded 323 coming back from Kaiaua on Saturday. I had to give way to him as we turned into a certain road, then his boot gets into it, the 323 belches clouds of black smoke and he's away. So I give him 100 metres and nail it, went past so fast I damn near sucked his backwards facing cap of his head. Poor kid, girlfriend in the car and all.
Bike one more, car nil again.

Stupidity kills people.

I think the bike's biggest advantage is the ability to pass where cars can't - and don't that rip their shorts! I love being in a long line of traffic with some tosser in a souped up lowered wanker wagon right behind me, itching to get past. Trouble is, there are cars coming towards us - and not much space between the cars in front, so he's stuffed for overtaking. Me, I can pull out and gently slip in and out of the cars ahead, meaning by the time a passing lane arrives, I'm usually miles ahead of him! Or, the best thing is when they go screaming past you along the straights (you let them, because YOU know where the cops sit!) and either get a ticket, or you catch up to them in the windy bits where they can't see far enough ahead to pass and wave as you overtake them!
Most of the tossers in Levin try and drag you off at the lights (yes, we do have two sets!) and their favourite trick is to get in the left-hand turning lane and try and pass you on the inside. Never happens - they usually get stuck as some little old lady lurches out from the kerb without indicating and they have to jam on the brakes! Oh how we laugh!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
Oh yeah - and I wouldn't do it either...Originally Posted by FROSTY

My fav example of this was YEARS ago in New Plymouth... some meathead insisted on coming up so close behind me he was basically on top of my... I changed down and nailed it away from him, changed up and reverted to my normal 120 or whatever.... next thing - he's back up my 6...
... so I do it again - this time REALLY leaving him in the dust for quite a while... then resuming normal speed... sure enough a couple of mins later - there he is again...
..soooo... it's 5:00pm in New Plymouth and I arrive at the top of Coronation Av right a the peak of congestion... slow it down to 40 and crawl the entire length of the road to the top of Boys' High Hill (about 2 or 3 km from memory?)
I almost learned a few new word from him - coz I could feel the vibes coming from his car.
As for me now - I've got even more horses than I did then (that was on a GPz550) and I have to admit I've often happy just knowing that I could blow them away... possibly needing 3rd gear if really pushed...

Size doesnt matter (contary to what most think)
Nor does age.....
the day the 6L holden motor produces 100bhp/L ill go buy one. All the other motors can quite easily.
In reference to the story. Had a similar one WAY BACK in my pillion days.
Sitting on the back of dads bike, booting it round turangi, dad pulled up behind a primera doing 160, instead of passing him - dad pushed the primera to 180 (making him work for it) - we continued following at this speed for a couple of k......and i was really confused on why dad didnt just pass him......then sure enough, round a corner, nice cop car sitting there. Dad hit the picks, slowed to 100 - and the cop did a u and chased after the primera. We saw them both a few k's down the road - and laughed. Those who dont try and win - dont walk home

I've had several eejits park alongside me at traffic lights, and go "Pull a wheelie! Wheelie! Wheelie!"Originally Posted by StoneChucker

As for those who want to race, I find that goading them into racing me then sitting there on the line is often more satisfying than racing them. Although there have been a few times I've obliged, and blown them away. Like a few weeks ago, returning from the shops one night in the 205 GTi, and I passed a Skyline or some BoyRacery car, with intercooler, blow-off valve, all that crap. Next thing, I see his ugly car in the mirror. Unfortunately, even though the 205 is only 130 bhp, it's very light, and has torque everywhere, so I just left my foot on the loud pedal until a ridiculous speed resulted, and he'd disappeared from view.... Then I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard.
Had to apologise to my son afterwards (it's mostly his car) as he thought we were going to die...
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....
