Not too bad if you can take your plate to another bike but a specific plate is gone when you've changed bikes.
My car rego - FISHB8 has been on 3 cars at an original cost of $300+
Good plate for my 650 single - still available last look - FUMPA

The one I would get is still avaliable but theres no way in hell I will pay $800 for one plate, better things I can think of to do with my money like, keep it in the bank.
The plate is right under my user name.

Apparantely if someone finds a plate offensive they can complain to whoever and it can be removed from you, reading all the small print.

Just playing around with offensive names and combos I can think of, and untold available, but when you submit them, they obviously run them past a censor dude first if in doubt, so I guess the chances of a nasty one getting thru is low.

Might as well stick with standard plates. With personalised plates it's a lot easier for some dickhead who doesn't like bikes to memorise your tags and call the cops about some bullshit that you haven't even done.

When I bought the SV two years ago I looked at a plate - which was available. Then I looked at the price. And decided I didn't want it any more.

Couple days later some chickie from P Plates rings up and sez "I see you were looking at a plate. Is there anything I can do to help you buy it?"
I sed "Yeah. Take half the price off it!"

She wouldn't bloody do it...fucking cow...

Damn! If it's any consolation I had exactly the same experience - she wouldn't drop the price for me either!

When they first came out I bought mine the first week: MY HOG. I was soo happy... Had it on the bike for a short while. Then realised how gay it was and took it off and stashed it. Many years later found it when I was doing some tidying up and sold it for $500.

I wanted a old black/white plate on a old Trumphy I had. I found one, checked it up and it was available, so I registered it as a personalised plate, fitted the old b/w one to the bike and was happy.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Obviously if you're a good boy or girl no worries, and if you're not, you're going so fast no one can catch a read of it eh

But everyone's different and like different things.
Never thought I'd be into one.............but I ordered one yesterday.
Fit of madness, old age, who knows.........a good way to throw 600 in the toilet etc etc blah, blah, blah.
Reckon it suits my Trumpy. Will post a pic of it on the bike when it arrives in the mail in a week.

Last time I thought of one for my Duc it was rejected as being offensive.

    Post up your pics.

Dunno about bikes but both my Wife's and my cars have personalised plates. Dude I tried to get "a wog" for my Duc and was turned down. I argued that I was describing (I identify as Italian/ New Zealander) myself but they said it was like saying hori or something like that so NO!

When the standard issue plates with the letters BMW were to be issued, BMW NZ reserved the whole lot & they could be obtained by applying to BMW.

Funny or not, the rego plate "1098S" is a Homebuilt Trailer. Such a waste of an awesome plate.
