There was a hoohaa about this bike http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=281262308 , a bunch of questions about very specifc problems with the bike (frame related if I remember) which they denied, then eventual winner of the auction ended up relisting it for a lot less a couple weeks later (cars_on_demand had sold it once or twice before but obviously whoever won it didnt complete auction once they sighted the bike). I'm not sure if they intentionally misled anyone though, more a case that the buyer should really inspect in person, or be prepared to take a chance. Seems to be plenty of others that have got a good deal and are happy with their bikes/cars.
Oh man, I know that bike. It used it be a REALLY nice bike and the (probably a couple back) old owner spent mega dollars on it. I was offered it a while ago while it was straight but couldn't quite afford it. Gutting when a real nice one gets written off.

there is also another blatant lie in his q&a. no dealer in his right mind will ever purchase a vehicle without a VIR (in fact its a legal requirement to have this paperwork to prove there is no security interest in it), and this will have given him the full registration/ownership history of the bike.......
And I'd like to vouch that this man knows his knitting on this subject. I used to buy my bikes off him. Always a good deal and good treatment.

this guy is fulll of it, he had a gsx650 i think a few months ago and he said it didnt look crashed just that something had dropped on it yet there was some serious rash on the engine cases, for those interested in the zx10 i no the history of that bike and have posted a question on the auction which should answer most peoples questions to the damage it previously had ( providing he actually answers it.......)
I don't have to retract anything. If you read my post I in fact said I had no reason to doubt the OP, just wanted them to shed some more light on the situation so it could be fully understood.

I don´t see what he has done wrong? Insurance write offs are usually pretty rooted - thats why they are written off - beyond economical repair. Track use or spares for your bike. Pretty much a given bent forks means a tweaked frame.

I think its just as much the weasling around the truth in the Q&A as much as the "forgetting" to put the whole story in the add!!? one answer in one auction and another in the next on the same bike hmmm

    Name & shame

So is this the "NAME AND SHAME" section then. Great, I'd like to nominate Justin (used to be the parts manager at Blue Wing a couple of years ago when I bought the R1, don't know or care where he is now). Don't get me wrong I wouldn't give the bike back, but I was/still am a bit pissed about the lies I was told when I bought the bike, and the things he obviously "forgot" to mention when I bought the bike.
I'm just glad I don't own a Honda, cause I'd hate to be responsable for keeping him employed..................................... PRICK!!
If you can keep your head when all about you are loosing theirs.........it's quite possible you haven't grasped the situation.

If he is a member of the MTA he's get reamed for the bullshit and blatant lies he puts on his auctions.
He pretends he's an insurance agent but the majority of the stuff he's selling he's bought from turners.
Can some ask him or find out if he is an MTA member and post back on here? I'd ask but he's blacklisted me for asking awkward questions

Theres also a listing on Trade Me at present, someone trying to sell an Ohlins shock for an ST3, except in the photo its a Sachs shock sitting in an Ohlins box. Either the guy is stupid or a conman.

why put the panniers back on after the bike was in accident and written off? The bike doesnt look too bad, but the exhaust is removed, and i suspect the panniers are hiding something.
In saying that, im looking forward to buying a writeoff and building a track bike someday.
