    Visor fogging?

Hi I am new to motorcycling and have alot to learn. An issue at the moment is visor fogging.Helmet is shark rsi ,Ive tried the cat crap stuff ,I don't know what you guys think, maybe its a new helmet. Its really only in the rain and I lift the visor to clear it and the bloudy rain then runs down the back of the visor compounding the problem.
    cheers jim g

Get yourself a pinlock insert. Problem cured. Forever.

Yeah - search the forums for Pinlock Visor - there are numerous discussions already up.

Pinlock visor +3. I've used them in the past and they are faultless, a friend of mine got one the other day, he's pretty cynical but he absolutely raves about it.

Try cutting an onion in half and then rubbing it on the inside of your visor. Leave it until it dries otherwise your eyes will be watering.

Pinlock x4. Would never own another helmet without one.

I have a Fog City insert in my helmet (it is pretty old now I guess) which works well, I am guessing its similar to the pinlock one... Kind of like double glazing for your visor works really well

From what I've heard the Pinlock model is superior to the Fog City insert.

Same thing - but with no glue - ergo longer lasting and easier to replace. Higher price. Worth it if you've got the coin.

I have a fog city also, got it from New Plymouth Triumph dealer when I rode up a couple of years ago. Still in there & works as good as the day I installed it.

Cat Crap (brand name) works OK if you apply it correctly. $10.

    Pinlock x 5 - wouldn't wear a helmet without one.

    Link to the pinlock website:
    http://www.pinlock.com/

Just noticed that the new ones change tint in sunlight - I like.

You should be able to source a pinlock insert from your local bike dealer. One thing to think about though - if your shark has the flashy 3mm thick visor then a drilled pinlock system might not work (most visors are 2mm and I think the pinlocks are designed for this thickness).

They do do an adhesive type but not sure how good these are at staying in place.

Got a self-adhesive insert form Motomail - does the job pretty well for $20.

Pinlock for the next lid, though.
