Thanks for the update but Thats rediculous!!! I feel your frustration F.M I hate those phone calls from the police... What a joke huh she turns you in to robobiker and gets an I.N. my incident didnt even warrant a infringment notice as the witnesses were unreliable???? like you said at least your excess is covered and you'll heal! I hope her insurance premium goes through the roof!!!

Wanted to got earlier but nup! not 3pm lady.

Now for a related question....hows that hand and the rest of the bouncing bod?
Thanks for the info on Ed. I'll call in next week to annoy the shite out of him in me lunchbreak.

The hand is pretty stuffed, I have an appointement with the plastic surgery team next thursday to check out where we are with it. While I am there I am going to see if they will sew this rubber door stop onto the end of me old fella, It's been kicking around the shed for a few years so might as well get some use out of it. Turnit from a door stop to a door knob I suppose.

Rest of the 3 hectares of area that is my body is bruised and bashed, ribs giving me shit and a bruise the size of a fecking pizza on my left leg.

So, I am brushing up on my blues harp playing and digging in for a fight with ASB. Yes, they are paying out only $200 on a $600 jacket, $20 on a $100 pair of pants and $50 on a pair of $250 boots, all wrecked in the crash......bastards.....

More news at 6.00pm......thats when I go for my twighlight dump and it can be quite funny lowering and rising from the pan........

I dont get it. She's at fault according to the police, ASB can claim all costs from her insurance company. Why aren't they paying out for your gear?

    It beats me.

Because ASB insurance is in fact IAG. I spoke with their 'Case Manager' today and all I got from the smug little 20 something corporate wanker was "thats the definition within the policy and I am doing you a favour by not depreciating more blah blah blah"

I did question how IAG can penalise someone for taking all the correct precautions when riding (not johnnys, I mean protective jacket, pants, lid and boots, observing the road rules, not causing the accident etc etc) but that made no difference to the arse punching twat.

So, even with Little Miss Cager (who recently graduated from the Stevie Wonder School of Motoring) paying out my excess, I'm still fecking $500 down on my gear. I am considering small claims to try and get the difference out of her but have differing opinions on how well that would go.

So, thats ASB / IAG for you.....wankers.......

Mortgage, insurance etc being moved from ASB as we speak

I encourage everyone insured with ASB/IAG to contact them within the next 5 business days to query their "definition within the policy". If only for your own peace of mind. It shouldn't take you too long, and it should send a message to the twats.

If they confirm their definition, let 'em know what you think about it.
    Keep on chooglin'

Hey FM. Have you considered asking the Police, all innocent like, what steps you have to take to lay a private charge of "driving without due care and attention, causing injury".

You could explain that feel that your interests and the interests of other motorists at large aren't being considered and that the other driver needs a firm warning before she has another accident and maybe kills someone who the Police will then have to pick up.

Unless my rather rusty memory deceives I believe any citizen can lay a private information at Court. Some forms to fill and 'swear' on and probably a filing fee.

Well, glad you didn't get worse injuries. Cagers are definitely a problem on our roads, they cause way to many accidents.... I hope you get a good pay out from the cager, I got cpl grand from mine, plus insurance for the bike.

According to Katboy, it is always the fault of the rider...
