Went for a ride today through the usual haunting grounds down to Aotea Harbour, thought i'd head down the beach for a play while i was there then all of a sudden

any consolation mate she was raining most of the ride with the occasionally heavy as fook down pour, i had to go faster to get the water beads off the visor went through the slip on old kawhia rd and forgot about the big arse rutt going cross ways hit it from about 60klms and slowing under full lock up the wonderful XR cartridge front end soaked it up fark it was a bucket load of wet fun, i just sprayed the gear so was nice and dry underneath.
Best thing about the rain was it kept the traffic right down
Gonna contact the council next week and try and sort some access, good fishing access by bike and i'l be farked if im gonna walk that far for a fish.

some one up at your bach to bro.

Erosion has been a concern at Aotea for a long time. The bar changed in a storm in the '70's,and tidal flow cut into the land.Opposite my bike here was a friends bach, behind the bach you climbed a hill to get over to the beach. The house is long gone (he burnt it) and this part of the beach has been reclaimed. The second shot (1st with how it loaded) is 180 degrees and is the section I owned and put a caravan on.They have every right to be concerned about erosion.

I thought this wasnt so straight forward as it seemed..... no beach access full stop
    http://www.stuff.co.nz/waikato-times...a-beach-access

the council just protecting the dunes apparently the beach was A O K just tossers fucking with the dunes but then add the land owner to the mix and walla no access to all
