Anyone else hate SH2 from Wellington to the Hutt?

Not to sound negative or anything but I really am sick of SH2 from Wellington city to the Hutt valley. I do it just about every day (luckily against rush hour traffic) it's very dangerous so you have to have your wits about you, it's usually gusty and cold there's corners but no fun corners.

Oh and now it has cheese cutters too! so it's even more exiting.

I know, I know. Just harden the f up and get over it. But I can't be alone in the dislike of this road, is it ok for a grown man to cry over a stretch of road?

Now that's positive thinking! And i guess there aren't too many roads where you get to have drag races from potentially 4? sets of lights in a 100k zone.

A bloody horrible road if driving in a truck with all those lights. Not too bad on the bike. Possibly a good opportunity to practice launching, even if the general public thinks you're a wanker as they're sitiing behind you.

every day 37.8 kms ea way 40min from upper hutt I couldn't do it every day by car I would end up killing somebody lol.

Yeah, try to find something every stretch of road offers. SH2 is a good place to practice controlled launches with all the lights.

Taking the train seems to be the most enjoyable way of passing through there.

NOT....would rather be on bike or even my car....i go against the main traffic flow tho

OK, so it might be due to the fact I have only been riding this stretch for the last 6 months...

I do not mind the motorway at all, all you sad sacks complaining about it really do need to HTFU.

Have to take the good with the bad.
