I think you have sh2 and sh1 through Pukerua bay mixed up somewhere along the way...
The only stupid question is a question not asked!

Around Welly is an Oasis of riding pleasure in a desert of boring roads.

I litterally live at one end of State highway 2 and work at the other. I don't really mind it at all. The bit that really gives me the shits though is the moonshine bridge and the cheese cutter just north of it.

Shit, that's some commute! Orkalnd to Welly via East Cape, the Takas and the cheese cutters. Awesome.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Better quantify that a bit better I live at the foot of the Rimutakas and commute into Wellington So I commute from one end of the Hutt Valley motorway to the other.

I know what your talking about, and those groves carved into the road to give more grip in the wet also give me the shits. They must be there to channel the blood off the cheese cutting board.

The bit of SH2 I'm specifically talking about is the section along the coast line where there's just no alternative route. The section north of the coast you could go into the valley to take anther route just for shits and giggles, so you don't feel so trapped on the other sections.
