Beat the rego (ACC) price rise. For a year anyway!

Some of you may know this any way. But there is a way to "postpone" The price increase. All you have to do is fill out a MR27 form. This will extend the date when your rego is valid to. the most you can extend is 15 months. Then you pay your rego up until that date. So depending on when your rego is due, that depends how how much you benefit.

There is a 7 dollar fee to do this. I just registered my KTM 990 out until August 2011. That cost me $348. I figure this is alot better than paying high four hundreds for a year.

I talked to LTSA about the new Cost for rego for a year that is due to change on July 1. That do not know the exact fee as yet. I figure the powers that be are keeping quiet on this so we all forget, and end up paying the new increased charge.

Its not massive amounts of money, and its a temp saving, but bloody hell, its alot better than nothing!

I am going to put the bucks I saved, towards getting the old bitch(And my bike) up north for 3 weeks. looking forward to getting back up to Northland where it is a tad warmer than Queenstown this time of year. Look out Ninety mile beach!

    Cheers Dion

Come 1st July the cops will be pulling anyone and everyone on a motorcycle.

I suspect they will do very well out of it

We have three vehicles on hold, fourth coming up soon. The shopping trolley will remain active because of the higher risk (of checkpoints) factor. If any of you moaners had any balls you'd do the same. Fuck 'em. Give them nothing, they're just greedy twats. You're still insured (provided you have a WOF, which is fair enough) and if you have an accident you're still covered by ACC, so why pay? If you don't do stupid shit the chances of getting sprung are minimal.

if you do get caught do you still get the 28 days to get the rego before you have to pay the fine because if so that is not a bad plan.

No, you get six months, coz you plead not guilty and drag it through the courts. Sheesh..........

that will not save you as your rego does not run out til aug even paying in june you will pay the new fees .. seen it every yr when others on here try it

my rego runs out 28 june and even if I do not pay it right away still pay the old price as its prior to 1 july.
