    Friends like these...

I think there's room for a post like this.

I was sitting talking shit with bikebabes Sharry and MsKaBC (and her bloke) at Deus yesterday. There was a wall of rain in every direction, so like the latte drinking poofs we have become, we stopped to enjoy some time telling tall stories about how sensible each of us has become in our old age.

Now, those of you who give a shit will notice that I haven't been around much in 8 or so months - I took some time to travel, play, and basically goof off. Sitting with good friends is the quintessential biker experience. Scrolling through my last dialled numbers I see mostly people who wear dead cow for fun.

Most of my best travel experiences included two wheels of varying descriptions - riding a Vespa in Airlie Beach with a hot Dutch chick in a mini, the once in a lifetime Desmosidici in San Francisco, and doing shots with a heavily tattooed Harley owning bartender in New York, mocking him for his retarded choice in bikes.

I have transcended worrying about addiction to visceral thrills; instead I embrace velocity as an old friend. I am biker, therefore I am.

Full circle, I salute my friends who have stuck with me through fun and not so good - there's a heap of you on this site; you know who you are, and why I thank all of you.

What a load of poppycock, if I bought a KTM I'd spend my life talking to cops (just like you do) for pulling wheelstands everywhere (just like you do). How come you didn't turn up on the weekend, we drank loads of coffee and ate lots of pies. Sharry was getting all misty eyed over her time on the KTM, something to do with good vibrations...

Viff - you're already on my friends list, xmas card list, and you'd be more than welcome to actually come for a ride sometime...!

Rubbish... I haven't spoken to a cop about the interpretation of laws on the roadside for over 1.5 years (runs off to touch wood, rabbits foot, 4 leafed clover *insert lucky thing here*). Yes, I have spoken to cops about other things, but none required the receiving of points, or paying of fees.

GF had something on, on Sunday mid morning... so a complete time clash.

Can you explain how much helium is in your front tire? Why do you keep trying to scrape off your numberplate, what has it done to you?

It's better for everyone when your GF has nothing on. Smirk.

Yay! It'll have to be in the next few weeks though, or not for a few months.
