    BT is Back:

    Kia Ora !

I'm just checking in on my way out the door. I'm back in America now, have been for the past 2 weeks riding and testing. I spent my first week testing in California with my mechanic Clint and my team, going through chassis set up and getting me dialed in for the season. We had our time line slashed way to short after I had my little mishap back home in NZ, but we made really good progress and found a really good set up.

I'm headed back to Cali today for a warm up race at Glen Helen, it will give me a good chance to shake down the set up we finished up with and give me some valuable gate time before I line up next weekend in Hangtown.

I spent this past week doing moto's back here in Florida, I feel great on the bike, conditioning wise I lost a lot with the 6 weeks that I had to stand down so I'll be working my way back into shape as this championship kicks off. It feel's awesome to know that the season is right around the corner now, it's been a really really long time coming for me and I'm excited to prep my gate in 14 days time from now it's going to be an interesting series...

I'll try check in after this weekend with an update on how the race at Glen Helen goes.

It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

    Kia Ora !

Yesterday I raced the 4 Stroke National at Glen Helen, it was a good chance for me to get in a race simulation in before next weekend. They we're running the same layout that will be in for the USGP in a couple of weeks. I liked the layout and it has a couple of new sections in it and a new big double step up which is pretty stupid.

First moto I got a decent jump - it was a concrete start so I was looking for just a decent start and I ended up getting the hole-shot! I found my groove quite fast and tried to settle in. I laid down good consistent lap times for most of the moto and got out to a 20 sec lead until I had to pull in after I got a flat tyre. My mechanic Clint changed the rear wheel and I got back to it for the last few laps.

Moto two I didn't quite get the start. I was third after turn one and quickly got into the lead after turn two. Once I got in the lead I tried to put in some hot laps and get away, at about the 25 min mark I backed it down after making a couple of mistakes.

It was a really good day. We learned a few things and I was really happy to get behind a gate again and do some racing.

I've got a few days testing before we head up to Hangtown, I'll check in next week.

Cheers for the updates on BT101 denill, getting excited, not long now, as much as I have a favorite US rider, nothing compares to having one of our boys taking it to the so called best in the world.
