    Riding in Napier/Hawkes Bay

I know this probably overlaps the where to ride sticky thread, but I couldnt find anything in there...

Me and some mates are heading over to hawkes bay for the weekend in a few weeks time. We are meeting up with some guys who ride there too, but I was wanting to sus out some places to ride as well.

Mainly looking for places like forrests/river reserves etc where there is some good riding to be done. Any ideas?

    Cheers!

There's a smallish mx track next to the river under the bridge off the Farndon Road/Pakowhai Road intersection which might keep you entertained for a couple of hours. It free to ride, so don't expect it to be well groomed and top notch. Just go left under the bridge to the end of the little road, there's a sign up with info about the track.

Cool - Just looked at it on google maps, will have a look at it as we will most likely drive past it at some stage. Is that land next to the river all public land?

Yea it is. I understand there a motocross school operates down ther as well for the young ones to learn.

Another area is at the end of Guppy road (Taradale) there is access to the Tutikuri river where you are allowed to ride.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Farndon would be better than Guppy Rd, larger place to ride. Both are as rough as each other.
