i had a good 18 on the crf, cant remember what it was now though- but it was bridgestone's tyre that 'looks' most like the ms and mh3 in tread design. instead of the large centre knob it had 2 square ones right next to eachother though.

    my 6 penny worth.......
Had a michy s12 xc on the crf this weekend at clevedon they are brilliant in the mud but like scott says they scrub out reasonably quick on the gravel and hard clay. Also agree the scorpion is a good tyre too, bit more life in it than and xc, but don't think its so grippy in the wet.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

Thanks Scott, how would you compare the M404 to the scorpion extra?

I had one of those M404's last winter and wouldn't recommend it. It gripped all good, but lasted only a few rides before it was toast. I know of two other people who were disapointed with how long they last too.
    Broken bikes wanted, pm details

the scorpions definatly last longer than the brdigestones, but the bridgestones grip better, they do not like gravel roads either,

    Mitchelin S12 xc

Can't go past the s12 xc.. get great wear and the best traction even when they lose their edge which takes a while. Best winter tyre of the lot.. Bridgy's are ok before their edge is gone but a waste of time after that and they don't take long for their edge to go off . Did an xc 3hr on the weekend with a used xc s12 and even on my 450 the wear was minimal... by comparison my mate on an 250f completely lost all knobs on his mid soft pirelli. S12's even work fine in the summer....

Exceptionaly good? I have not used one myself so can't truthfully say. As I am new to the selling tyres game, I can only go by what reveiws are saying online - which seem very positive.
    Thanks for the consideration.

Seriously doubt a road-legal semi-knobby adventure tyre is going to compete with the likes of an S12.
    Cheers,

Having now Looked at what a S12 is .... I appolagise for not understanding what you were after properly. The K60 is very much more a 50/50 on/off road tyre.
The only off road tyre we do in this size is a 'Enduro hard', so also not what your after. Thanks.
