Much nicer looking that your Lifan too.

Can't directly comment on the Lifan but a mate bought one for his wife when Triumph NZ dumped them all for a song. I think the new 250 cruiser was just on $2,000. He was more than happy with the bike and his wife learned to ride on it with no problems. From memory, resale was a major issue so remember your 250 is a short time bike so the ability to move it on and buy your next bike is an important factor in the equation. A H, K, S or Y will be easy to move and hopefully with little loss. My three sons and wife have all gone through the 250 class and we have had a variety of bikes. Our best all round learner was the GN250 and the SR250. Go for the bike that gives you the most confidence as it is a short term bike.

Yeah I've seen that thanks but don't have any experience to give it any 'TLC'

My pick is the TLC is just a cleanup. At worst, maybe a plug but this is a good bike to learn to ride on and learn your basic motorcycle maintenance skills. May save you from sitting on the side of the motorway. Failing that, ask a mate or the person getting you into motorcycle to give you a hand.

    Cheers

Thanks for thinking of me but I don't really wanna get something that admits to needed TLC as a first bike esp cause none of my close friends ride

Simplicity cheap running costs and reliability thats still quicker than a 50cc scooter, the FXR150 will be a sure bet for you, even has a kick start if your battery dies. Go plenty well enough for a wee little 150 has a fancy digital dash with user friendly digital petrol meter and gear selection indicator etc.

If it's not going how it should (might be hard to tell if you're a new biker) they sometimes develop a small tear in the carburetor slide diaphragm easy fix and they go really well
