Personally I find The Pirelli midsofts fall to pieces... usually in a MAX of three rides. I'm still a fan of the Scorpion Extra you have on, in all conditions. That or a Kenda Trackmaster.

Do some reseach on the Heidenau K60 . Can sell you a 110/80-18 for $190 including freight.

I've got a Scorpion XC mid soft on mine and really like it, lasted well, good grip and its lasted all summer, I turned it a few rides ago and I'd get another thats for sure good tyre!

Got a Pirelli pro fim on the front thats knackered but its quite an expensive tyre so what do you run on the front??

I'm getting real close to doing them both before the real mud hits!

Edit: How did the Extra go for grip?? Everytime I've gone in to get one Steve at XXX has talked me into something different good advice bit not the extra
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

i run x-race (used) extras all year round... they get decent grip in mud at a lower psi

Yeah I've found them to be good so far Booom, heaps of grip and last well which is a major plus for me. I destroy tires really quick on the terrain we have down here.
That said, I've only been running them since switching to 4 stroke, which I've found to be more tractable with any tire than my CR was... Not stirring or wanting the ol 2 vs 4 debate, you know how fond I was of the CR, just an observation. Also, perhaps theres different models of TrackMaster? I think the one I have on now is a K756?

That is interesting as steve is the one that instantly reccomended that I use the Scorpion extra. I bought both a front and rear from him. I cannot fault the tyre but I have not had much experiance with other tyres to be able to coment or really validate my opinion on there performance. I saw that on the chart the extra was more suited to the harder conditions so I thought that it might be better to try somthing else for winter like the xc mid soft or s12, more than happy to continue using the extra but if there is a better option then why not try that.

I bought a Dunlop Geomax31 for winter, which is a soft tyre, and it help up very well at a not too soft farm enduro and never had any traction issues with it, im waiting to see how it does in the sand at woodhill. But reports from other people seem that it is pretty incredible, guess ill see.

Oh and they dont make MS3/MH3 for 18inch rims.
we may just go where no ones been

Could well have been the time of year we asked? It was just before last winter, leAding him to different recommendations, or you might ride much harder then me? But the xc mid soft has served me well. I'll look up the hours done for you if u want?

ive got the ms32 scorpion both front and rear they hook up real well although the 450 dose tend to start tearing them apart after a while going to go to the extra next time round.
youll find you will have to go up to a 120 90 18 depending on what you go for as 18 is a rather restricted size compared to the 19s happy to try and do a good deal for any one wanting tyres as long as you dont mind fitting them your self (good practice anyway no tyre machine at the track)

S12's are pretty good in the mud, but gravel roads tend to tear them up a bit,
i like Bridgestone M404 for all aroun d, or 204's for mud,
