    One percenters in Christchurch.

From The Press Saturday May 22 page A20 Letters to the editor.

    Quote.
A group of motorcyclists rode up Cranford St and onto the Main North Road. Most of them were not wearing a safety helmet, and as I followed they blatantly rode through several red lights at intersections.
In spite of several police vehicles being in the immediate vicinity, no great effort was made to stop the motorcyclists or prevent them committing further offences. And etc etc...
    Unquote.

    This sounds like fun :-)

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I haven't seen a group ride of the 61's in Christchurch for a long time. Are they even still present in town?

Or the Henchmen, Epitah, Road Knights etc etc, used to be reasonably commonplace to see them around

What difference would that make? Are you allowed to run reds without a helmet on if someone dies on a bike?

If there's a truck coming through there'd by enough dying on bikes to justify it, I guess.....

Oh well, if they were sconned by a bus while riding through red lights and not wearing helmets, then it would've been a classic display of "Natuaral Selection". You gotta raise the gene pool somehow. (my comment relates to their contribution to society and is not racially based BTW.)

No matter, if someone took offence to yr post he'd prolly be black anyway !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
