    Great work Marks,

Straight lines and alignment are not really necessary these days. if this had happened on the KLR you could just get another rear subframe. Job done
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    Haha. Nice work Mark.

Good luck fixing that. I did similar to an XR250 years ago. I managed to sort of straighten it, but it never handled the same afterwards.
Showing off for the camera since ages ago

glad you're OK Mark - shame about the little DT though - had a 'moment' myself yesterday whilst out with a group of GS riders in the 'rapa - Motomart / BMWOR ride - my moment was on the seal after barreling through the gravel from Hinakura to Admiral Rd - had too much momentum going into a corner, locked the rear wheel and ran wide - narrowly avoiding an 'off''

Here's some video of the infamous bank. Mark was the intrepid trailblazer and after his demise we cleared some branches & rocks for a smoother approach. I got half way up & was pushed to the top, nana style. Bruce was determined to make it up unaided & was sucessfull on his third attempt.

Frightening how quickly it can go from fun to 'oh shit' - glad you saved it

Its hard to see how such a little bank led to such major carnage.

Got the bike fixed yesterday but it was a major effort - it had bent just behind the rear shock top mount and the top frame rails had 'Z'ed at bit as well as twisting. will post some pics tonight.

    the rack didnt survive.

I'm a bit sore (tweaked my neck/back doing that barrel role) but should be ready to ride this coming weekend

That's an impressive quick turnaround for the repairs. I only managed to clean the bike & strip the rear tyre off.
It sounds like you need nightly doses of medicinal rum & a hot wheatie bag

Something that came to mind while i was looking at the new tenere 660 at macs yamaha - one piece frame. (no takers yet, it's been in his showroom for a month or two)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Your KDX could have had a chance of looking like that at the x-country if you hadn't wimped out!

The resurrection looks real good. Those laser guided frame jigs were really worth the $$$. Did that fix the frame compression as well? And why 'the blue banana'?
