Looks like it'll be a bit slippery.

The spill was believed to have started near the top of the Rimutakas on the Featherston side, but rain and traffic had washed it down towards Wellington so that it now covered both lanes for an extensive stretch of road.

Clean-up crews were attempting to clear the mess, and police have asked drivers to avoid the area.

Truck drivers had told police it was the biggest such spill they had seen.

"A truck had slid and crashed into a bank near the bottom of the hill on the Wellington side."

    Oh the irony.

Why don't the councils give these wanker boyracers a venue they've always wanted/whinged about. Open up the hill to these wankers who think they can drift and let natural selection take its place.

Yeah i'd buy a rear wheel drive skyline if they did !

What do ya mean i'm too old ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
