What are the differences between a KTM Adventure & a KTM Mini SX 50? Other than one is air cooled only & one is water & air cooled.
Also other than size the difference between the Mini SX 50 & the SX 50.

there are a few differences.
the clutch on the adventure is run on a spring setup centrifugal clutch where on the sx it uses cupped washers so the hit of power comes in at around 8k revs and the adventure is not a hit of power as such.
i think the adventure may not have disc brakes on the rear either.
i got a sx and put the spring setup in the clutch for the kids when they were learning , all the ktm shops i rang when i was starting out did not think i could change the clutch to make it like the adventure but it was a bout a 15 dollars for the springs and then pack it with flat washers as they progress ti make the power start to hit.
the seat has 2 settings on the sx and you can also use the adventure seat on the sx which is around an inch lower than the sx.
also the suspension has more travel.
the whole bike is built more for racing where the adventure is a bike to start on , but i started my kids on the sx pro senior and just lowered it and made the clutch configuration the same as the adventure.
The sx mini is a totally new bike and not a pro junior or snr go to KTM NZ website and have a look or look on KTK Talk . com, in the mini section for all the info you could ever want.
Basically the adventurers are good for trail riding and racing but the new mini sx is a water cooled race bike and will over heat if ridden in the bush unless your kid is a flyer and its not soft sand!
Thanks for the info guys
