    Whaddaya guys reackon?

Ever since i got my k7 gsxr1000 ive always wanted to alter the look of the front either with vinyls or something else, as i dont particularly like the headlight shape and the big black area it leaves..

Today i thought of led lighting.. perhaps a strip of leds on each side just to break it all up a bit and add a bit of flare to the bike while riding etc..

Heres a rough idea in a couple of pics..

And heres the leds i've found to do the job..

If you guys have any other ideas on how i could enhance the front of my bike feel free to let me know whats the go.

I reckon that would look horrible, just a little too tacked on for an otherwise standard looking bike.

Have you considered getting a glass replacement top fairing, and altering that to suit some marker lights? Sure it'll be twenty times the cost, but there's a much better chance of the look remaining cohesive, if you dig?

flame decals! nah, seriously though, some pinstriping or decals are a much better option than leds imo, if you want to add lights though, i would recomed setting them up to make bit of it glow, like putting them in you ram air ducts; basically quick rule for leds is see the glow, not the bulb/emmiter.

That could be worth a go... that rule is definitely the one to follow. Also, only white or amber, no other colours are kosher.

missed that thread, many sign writing places would be happy to do you custom decals, got some lettering done for mine at 7.50 per letter (8cm high). As imdying said, white or amber glow looks far better than the other colors and less boy-racerish; personally i would have said led strip lighting was worse than a glow though in that respect.

    Fuck. They saw you coming...
I could do that size for about $1.50 per letter.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

was a very small order, 4 letters and a tacho masking sticker, 50bucks all up, though i did provide them with vector image files.

edit, how long has that been in your sig btw? would have asked you for a price if i'd noticed a month or two ago

Hey man, didnt know decals etc was your area. Could you cut out pinstriping or 'lowrider line type' decals as well?

Really might have to get a design made up that ill like and get it done through you for a box of your preferred or whatever suits.

I've been 'doing' this for years (about 1997 I think). Have only just started to 'promoting' on KB.
V8s...I also have a range of straight pin striping, or can do small graphics.

Hmm wouldnt mind some nice pinstriping to go with the pinstriping type lines on the gsxr.. and then perhaps the gsxr logo inbetween the striping.. might get started on ideas on paper this weekend.
