On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

want to have ago at Fells farm, but thinking i should go to the sandpit first just too check out what the bike handles like.

    Oh what to do.
Mate your suspension set up at woodhill wont even be close for ken fells they are two completly different terrains, if you are revalved for crosscountry trail riding type tracks you will need to do some testing with compression settings or you will find ya self kicked over the bars even if you dont do the jumps. That track is so fast and hard.

We set the sag up and set everything else to factory as a start point for him to fiddle with from there.

Have you raced Fells Andy?? Whatya reckon use my fast trail riding setting or Ardmore/Mercer (Jumps) setting as a starting point??

Not taking it hard, I'd rather be Mr May in your bunch than the Townley in a slower bunch! There's always someone faster eh! unless your name is Birch!! LOL!!!

    Where we riding next week?
Was thinking about Fells, seeing it was posponed (I quite like the fast suff).
But if I'm serious about the T100 I'd probably be better trying to get my ride time to 4 hours with less rest time out the sandpit?
Say 2-3, 1.5 hour non stop sessions?? That might get me through 2-3 laps if I'm lucky and its not pissng down at the T100???
Ha ha I think I started that James May nickname after following Rick through one of the tracks at woodhill! Haha!

Rick if your serious about the T100, do it. Its an experience and buzz that is like no other race I've done. Not that I've done many races, but its pretty intense! Just start on your fitness now and hit it hard. Its only 1 month till the race. I'd try to eat right and cut out the booze until the race too. You'll be fine in the race, I just entered each time with a positive attitude and treated it a bit like a trail ride. Second year I did it I did alot more fitness, just the rain let me down from doing another lap......

i got up there earlyish this morning, conditions perfect, started up the track and found my clutch is faucked. huge sigh. it was working perfectly last time i road. this was also my first time at woodhill in about 3 years, had been psyched about the ride. thought i'd fix it today and ride tomorrow but phoned around and couldn't get new plates. so unless anybody happens to have a set of clutch friction plates for a 99 CR250 i won't be up there until i get parts

    Enjoy your ride!
