His has some k's on now, so it's breakin in nicely, but still.. Feint got off mine, and said wow. First thing he said. Off the same bike as he has.
I want a beast to ride, not some toffy bike.. still a kwaka, and a 636, and my bike is the decendant of mine etc etc. Not bagin the bike as such, I'm just not convinced really. I want mine and a broken in 05 on the track and I ride both, then that might convince me. But until then, I'm sure it'll be taggin on the back of mine, not the other way round as the figures seem to show..

    k, slag away at me
Yeah Im hearing ya big fella, its a question of depreciation and age, I dont want to get to far behind in models and mine has done 19000kms and soon will go down to arond a $9k trade value, If I replace it now I can reduce this loss to around $11k and get a new model for only a couple of grand.
I can still be swayed into another bike, but at this stage its a 636 green. Prolly change tomorrow.
Ive run out of fucks to give

why trade when you can get a couple of k more private? The shop has to make money on your bike, so it'll knock off as much as poss, then pile on as much as poss.. If you can find that bit slightly higher than middle, then the buyer gets a bargain, and you get top buck..
anyway, you're not going to sell it..

we should do our own KB636 appreciation club!

I dont carry much weight in this but, my personal experience is I have not had aneed for a steering damper at all. Im just starting to crack the throttle to wot at times.
BUT, I did talk to Mike at Mt Eden a great deal about this, his feelings was the bike does not need one. The most he has had himself both on track and on the road was a little wiggle. The man should be trying to sell me one but actually was doing the opposite. He told me leave it for while, and then decide, but personally he wont be putting one on his bike. He rides his damn hard.

I spoke to Mike a few times about dampers too.. He had one on his 'demo' 04 bike (the number plate is one digit off mine ) and he said they need it. On the 05's, they've changed the rake of the steering head and the rear swing arm, so this has helped the turn and also settled the front, thus I think that's why the 05s aren't gagging for one. On mine, I've had some good whippins, so I'm still saving. I should be saving quicker, but there's only so much I can steel before the boss notices something

like I said at the weekend, we should swap so you can see where yours came from..

    k bed.

Prolly be going green I think as its so kwaka and distinctive, kinda like riding the pride of Kwaka kinda thing. Will have to get new gear though cant see red and green going well together very well, hey we gotta look good right !!

Tell me what is your opinion of the steering stability, seemed light when I rode one a few months ago, whats your opinion
agree, the front can lighten up and turn in is generally quicker - that's always a sliding continuum though eh? Trade off change of direction for stability. The damper isn't top of my next array of squid accessories though. Nowhere near as flighty as the last of the carbed R6s though.

I put it down to the extra power too, which is delivered in a stealthy way, y'know, sneaks up on you. Yep, it doesn't bring it on as brutish as the B1, but it's certainly there!

Mono should have the best opinion - he's had his the longest and I've seen him give it a good dose of the jockey spurs! Much more than I could anyways....

When I rode Buggy's I realized y'all were right the 636 was just right and the 10 would be too much for me. Got to sit on one (the ZX10R) and rev it up and got scared away from riding it.

Probably would have too. Though I would be more upset about destroying such a machine.
