    It gets that far before being turned to steam? What's the temperature of the inlet valve it rushes past, colder than I would've thought by the sounds of it!

    Intersting. I've noticed my SV sounds more grunty in damp conditions and the exhaust is far more prone to "pop" on the overun. I 've always wondered why, I guess the expanding water droplets may be the explanation.
