Na-- not really, But I think the ones here in Nelson -- just have a different way of dealing with things ???

Having been up north for 6 years, forgot what it was like down here -- and the piss poor state of the road repairs here, bad , really bad.

Ahhh--by the way I work split shifts-- and prob. get caught up in at less 2 to 4 traffic (breath testing normally) a day/nite.

Hmm, generally I have found the whole on Nelson to be weird - the California of N.Z. - "The land of fruits and nuts")

And yes, I've lived there - but won't again...

Old tread, dug up by a google, my little hi-lite of the Year (Mmmm -- longer really)

Was just cruising a long the Wakefeild-Kohatu HWY (6) on the out skirts of Nelson, and got pinged by a pom Cop.
Ok -- was just over the 100k limit, Mmm , So Answered the Question, --- basicly -- But wasn't going to Thank this cop for giving me a ticket.

Then things got Mmmm -- a little heated.
Pom Cop Drags up my -- history, mostly over 20 years ago -- In doing this -- put me in a worst frame of mind.

Anyway-- Cop gets out his Camera and starts taking pics of my 999, which doesn't make me happy, ever worst with the BS answers to my Questions --- Why the Pics --- Cops first two Answers "Because I Can" .
After questioning the pics another two times -- got the Answer "your number plate is pointing towards the sky" --- Ok, its is on a bit of a Angle -- But not by that much, sure the hell isn't "pointing towards the sky"

Long story short, we parted with the the comment from the cop "Tickets will be in the Mail -- Dickhead"

He Then drives a couple hundred meters up the road -- parks up, in less than 2 minutes -- hes off chasing a RAV4.

I Waited a few mintues, and joined the tail end of dozing bikes that came along.

Think there is something in riding alone -- make you a easlyer target???

Just write in if the ticket arrives, show in a clear politely written letter with images that the plate is visible to the rear.

I never found any legislation that stated anything other than being visible to the rear.
