    Hmmmmmm............
"But if you're part of a rough group, and seem a bit intoxicated, we might ask you a couple of questions because we are just trying to screen people's behaviour before they get to the bar."

Mr Lawrenson said the group was a "rougher-looking hen's party". Some appeared slightly intoxicated and were not allowed inside, prompting them to abuse the doorman.

I should organise a hundred old buggers to go invade the outback one night...see how they react. Take the film crew etc etc..and the pitchforks...and the torches...burn 'em. Bastards.

Me and my wife got refused entry to a bar in Hamilton Main Street because we were too old and we didnt have student ID. Use to frequent it reasonably often but won't spend a cent there now and tell everyone likewise.

I thought age discrimination was against the law!!

And slofox and his wheelchair have no chance

A guy I used to work with used to knock people back for having their shoelace undone or shirt untucked... aaaand, most of the time, it was pretty much for his own amusement... door people are a funny breed...

Not if the refusal is based on reasons prohibited under the Human Rights Act (f'instance, how about "We don't serve Maoris " ? ) ?

It's this ridculous Cult of Youth that our culture is obsessed with. I mean... Justin Beiber... for gods sake!
Guess it sells lots of anti-wrinkle cream and ab-flex machines though. (whereas we all know the secret to enternal youth is a two wheeled devil machine spitting fire and brimstone)
