Similar thing happened to us years ago one night. Guy actually turned around to follow close up behind us so I ducked left and braked and watched him as he shot past. Fortunately a mufti cop saw it all so chased and caught him. The guy was done for EBA and lost his license for 6 months.

I am curious to where this happened? and at what speed?... With the little info posted and a witchhunt off the bat.......it may have been a 250cc bike holding up traffic in the fast lane, would that be reason enough to tailgate?,No... even so,the "full" story may change the plot.

My side of the story is as follows

Was riding home at 2030ish in a residential area last night when i notice this guy behind me, fair enough. I sped up a bit to put some distance between me and him, so this guy speeds up too and lights up like a christmas tree. I took a few turn offs and he stayed right on my date. At that point i decided that was enough and pulled over to let him pass.
I memorised his plate and obtained his details quite legally, and have never heard of him before
If there is a problem with them being posted on here I can remove them

I thought I'd let y'all know so you can use this information as you wish

complaints dont do shit unless the cop sees the act take place, if your are on a bike you dont have much choice but to pull over, in a car just ring 111 if yo uwant anythign to be done about the issue. Otherwise you willl have to go to court to get any results and your chances are minimal
only thing that is for sure is that you will waste your time

I dont mind calling from japan ..Skype is cheap enough !!!..The only problem with that is that he could be a bit more aggressive towards motorcyclists...??

Vehicle registration details are public information. You used to just go to the Post office with the registration number and pay $2 or so, presume you still can? Or you could get a VIR report based on the registration number. Once you have name and address you can use the Whitepages to search for a phone number.

If you have a problem with someone like this , move over and let them pass (It's not that hard !). If you still have an issue , then do the police thing .However , naming the driver / address / owner on a public BBS including telephone number and suggesting the community do whatever is childish. Move on and grow up !. Suggest you edit your post and remove this persons details.
until it happens to you right? HDTboy did the right thing, letting everyone else know what the wanker drives, and if I see him I'll go out of my way to make our meeting a very uncofrtable one....

I don't recall anywhere in his message him asking you for help? He's just out there warning other bikers against fuckheads in cages.

BTW. All joking aside, I don't see a problem with identifying drivers who indulge in deliberate aggression. At the very least, someone may be alert enough to give them a wide berth.

Probably dangerous driving..... They even think that wheelie-ing a VFR750 down pit street on a friday night is dangerous - but they still let me off that one cause I didnt run... Just told me to do that sort of thing out of town, I said yes sir and lesson learnt... Look for cop cars sitting at the lights before hoisting the front wheel.
