    Just my 2c.

We have a 06 sxf that came with a broken clutch perch, being hydrolic it did cost us a fair bit more. Having said that it's a trade off as hydrolic clutchs are nicer to use.

It is worth noting that altough ktm genuine parts are priced similar to jappas, they do sometimes have a lack of aftermarket parts listed compared to jappas. which in turn means (sometimes) you may pay more...may. This is what Barty5 is normally on about, as he orders parts for lots of different bikes.

Back to the point, what about this 350??? What are the pros and cons to your old bike? I reckon the 350exc is going to be a huge seller.
    Broken bikes wanted, pm details

I'd have to agree, it's likely the master cylinder itself that was busted. Which sucks.

But who cares? We've all got a similar thing on the other side of the bar and it's not something ya commonly hear of getting munted. One unfortunate experience I'd say.

Not at all a KTM fan myself, but I would mind getting myself one of those fancy hydro clutches.... (Or one of those fancy 350's )

if ya want cheap genuine parts, get a suzuki.
Had an RM250 in here a few weeks ago that someone else had been at and over torqued everything, triple clamp bolts, damping rods. When I went to reassemble the forks one of the damping rods snapped at the lock bolt before I even started to get any load on it. Shame it didn't snap as I pulled it apart.
Fortunately for the customer I had another RM250 here of my own which I stripped down to replace the part. However Suzuki want $660.00 US for a replacement damping rod! I'm wearing the cost on that and trying to source a cheaper Honda one, still about $250.00 US which will need machining and more $ to work. Didn't make any money that week.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

You can find 'expensive parts' stories about any bike, like me paying $180 for genuine Suzuki fork seals after the 3rd set of after market ones crapped out in as many months... then discovering the 'official' ones were NOK and I could get them for US$4.50 off ebay. It'[s about homework...

Regardless, this kind of KTM-bashing has been done to death and is, quite frankly, retarded. Yeah, yeah I know, I've got one now, so I'm going to be defensive, but I've KTM-bashed as much as anyone on here and I know I was being a retard.

    Awesome bike though...

This is my point about doing your homework and not just letting the local dealer bend you over. I paid $180 because I was sick of rebuilding my forks... and found out soon after that I didn't need to pay anything like that. But I have only myself to blame, because I didn't do my homework.

So in other words, if some wankstain tries to tell you a banjo bolt is $700, go find out where else you can get it from, i.e. ebay, hydraulic specialists, brake specialists... if you pay $700 for a banjo bolt, you only make it ok for certain dealers to continue to rip us off.
