    KTM Anonymous

Out riding at the weekend, me and a mate decided that liking KTM's is a 'disease' for want of a better word. The other guy we ride with owns a KTM and is quite proud of it (especially how they come ready to race!). Looking at the other KTM owners in the near vicinity (we were at the Berm Buster), it became rather apparent that there should be a club for KTM owners, KTM Anonymous. I say this because every KTM owner we saw had at least 3 or 4 KTM branded accessories (such as boots, hats, jackets, tents, toasters and friendship bracelets). I think its time for a bit of honesty here guys, lets admit you have a problem! :-)

the same nob that pitched the KTM tent and put on his KTM riding gear!

I probably shouldnt have a go at KTM owners though - I was the one sitting out the days riding with a blown honda clutch (and to be informed that my friends feel that honda should include a good book in their spares kit!)

I was parked near the "KTM GUY" at taupo on sunday.
He would have spent thousands on his orange gear! All of the above and like undies and ALL clothing.
Maybe we can call it Orange Fever? Or Orange disease?
Maybe they are just releasing their inner Ginga?

Buy a bike with lots of colours and you can co-ordinate better.
I like my stuff Mud colour.... it's white or black before hand.

Haha yeah must have been one of the 50 or so KTM bashers there.

Dont get me wrong, i've seen qweer eye for the straight guy, i understand that people need to accessorise, but I reckon the first accessory for any bike must be some bloody skill! i'd definately not wear matchin gear, i'd just look like too much of a tool when i was stuck somewhere!

KTM Guy (TM) who parked next to us at the Brass asked what was in the orange sack. Seemed a bit put out when I told him it was recycled KTM bits that we were burning...

what else would you do with recycled KTM bits? mind you, KTM owners would probably send them back to head office so they could be installed on 'new improved' model bikes with the KTM patented latest technology

No good giving them to the scrappy you'd probably have to pay him to take them.

Yeah, the price of steel has dropped massively in recent years. So has the price of alloy, but KTM dont like making products with new fangled technology such as Alloy-metals so thats no big deal!
