Wow, that's out of the blue mate. It's not till you actually get around to selling a bike that's served you well and that you have enjoyed riding that you actually realise how hard it's going to be to part with.
Someone has expressed interest in my GSX1400 and now that there is a chance it;s going to go, I feel... well.... bad really. Dunno if I can live without her.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Tel me about it,the things still here and will be until the weekend,to be honest i wish the old girl was gone, feels a bit like when you have to put a dog down, bloody horrible.Blokes paid me 1/2 and will pay the other when he picks her up,couple of times today ive felt like ripping up his check and calling the deal off.Had plenty of bikes in my time and never had a problem parting with them before.Annoying that something this old has gotten under my skin.

    Oh dear...I feel for you....

You two have shared many amazing adventures...that is why it pains you so. But...as they say, one door closes and how many open. Just imagine the new adventures you shall have on your new bike.

I must say...it is a beautiful bike you have sold.

Time to say goodbye and then hello.

What's the bet he's a miserable bugger right now?

Never fear, the new bike will fix it.

Nope, feel like an idiot but rather that than regretfull, rang the bloke and told him deals off,i never advertised it for sale and he had only paid 1/2 so simply chucked his cheque in the fire.Lots of reasons really but have simply put to much into the old thing and it still suits my motorcycling needs, probably more so than when i bought it,ive no desire for a new bike and would only have replaced it with something way old.Decided to keep it and look about for an old Commando to tinker with which will take myself and the Mrs about in some degree of comfort for her.As you were then.

Ah well, at least you won't have to learn the quirks and inticacies of a new and different bike.

And I'll still be able to recognise ya!
