The end of a wonderful decade of ownership.

Outta the blue a bloke turned up from Queenstown today and made me an offer for my old TLS that i really just had to take, its still out the shed though i feel like i am missing the bloody thing already.Over the last 10 years or so its been packed up and done the South Isle 4 times, maybe 5,its sat up the arse of the latest n greatest inlines over the Pig Route more times than any old V-twin has any right to,its gone the length of the Waitaki bridge twice on one wheel (i had to walk home once),Best times its had have been on the West coast (South Isle) tucked in behind very expensive Ducs and laughing at less expensive Ducs, ive spent some $ for sure on it which has been my choice and enjoyed the results. To sum up the old girl i guess its reinforced my belief that what you ride and how much it cost matters fuck all on the good roads, cheers to the old TLS,they will indeed be one of the great Jap Classics.A few pics from over the years. What now eh,possibly an old Commando?

So do i T,great thing about the old TL was on the good roads in the hands of an old bugger it could still be fun when riding with the latest n greatest, some of the most memorable moments have been when getting off at a pub/wherever and the "wtf do i have to do to lose that old shitta " comments from riding mates, not to mention once or twice going past a couple of Gsxr riding mates still on one wheel whilst there thinking about grabbing a handful of front brake, wonderful old bike the TL.......fuck it,dont start me.

I would buy the old fellas SS in a flash if for sale,as much as i have fond memories of the old thing the fact that my owning it would annoy the fuck outta him would seal the deal.To be honest mate a MK4 was my first thought on the other, convince me otherwise...........

Wow, as others had said that come right out of nowhere. It must have been a decent offer, or one you ah couldn't refuse. Enjoy the process of working out what to go for next.
