Good to hear your ok man, i got smacked by an asian driver ages ago too, blody prick couldnt even speak english enough to work out what he had done which pissed me off more than the actual crash.
Also as much as it sucks your bike got wrecked dents and lost paint is a shitload better than gravel rash and busted bones in my opinion

Mate, firstly, I am glad to hear you are okay but very sad to hear about the crash and the damage to your beloved bike. I met you that one time in Pauatahanui and really admired your bike.

Good to see the boys in blue doing the business and giving her the serve. I wonder how she would see things if she had a large truck pull out in front of her and try to use the same excuse. Reckless driving causing injury huh? Nice.

.... we used to call it "DWA". All the best for recovery, repair/replacement and getting back out there doing the tags.

Well now that's just rubbish news! Going to be a hard act to live upto for the next one. Hope the insurance comes through with a worthy figure. Mind you - could be fun to get shopping again.

Glad you are well...and comiserations at your loss....we do get attached to our bikes don't we!

35 years of road riding...3 accidents and 3 near misses....two off the accidents and all the near misses were almost the same as your case, a driver turns right accross my path....that has to be one of the more common causes of accidents.....when will driver (and riders) Learn to check the way is clear before turning left every time....and be attentive....and signal a left turn in good time which I assume did not happen in your case our you would still be on "Big Yeller"

Sorry to hear about your incident... Alas kapiti has become a bit of a hazard zone as the population ages but even knowing this does not help eh? Damn shame about the bike - it didn't look too bad surely?

Heal up - enjoy the new one...

Just a quick update on the outcome.
The Asian lady who graduated from the Stevie Wonder school of driving went to court last week and has lost her licence for 6 months and has to pay me $1201 in reparation.
Nice to see the law is still looking after us
