    Wheelies in the carpark

LoL, got told off today for doing wheel stands in the work carpark....... It's a private car park, with a straight around 300m long so it's perfect for it, especially with some new asphalt recently laid..... It's just so opportune and temptuos.

Anyway, wasn't the boss that told me off, so tonight I gave it another shot anyway, fairly impressive too, did the whole distance with 20m to spare and a nice touchdown. I am thinkin the Boss will either to cease or congratulate, when the wheelie police get to him. Hopefully they can give me the camera footage lol.

    Go hard or go home!

Where else can one Wheelie..... fun police suck bum.

Haha nice work. I really need some practice space too. The firestorm is so great to wheelie but I have lost all technique since farm days. Really struggling with the smooth put-down if anyone has some advise. Feels like I might f*ck the forks if Im not careful.

A supervisor narked out, hate that, if he had an issue he could have come to me first off, I still would have told him to man up perhaps, but still the honourable way to go about it......

Arsin off on a 18k bike not a wise move, true that.

It's all about the powering, lift is easy, if you just doin a straight run from stand still power it up in first from mid range revs. Hold it through the raise and gear into 2nd and 3rd if nec. Hold the revs steady and as you drop the front, for a gentle touch down just accelerate again into the mid range. touchdown should be delicat and effortless.
Practice makes perfect, its just finding a place really to do it these days.

Are you a moron? If a cop sees you, and he can get to you, you lose your license.

    Party pooper.

My boss congratulated me on a good mono up the hill as I left work for my 1hr lunch break ride on Friday a couple of months back. Helps that everyone in management where I work is a petrol head.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

duhhhh, thats why I was on private property....... Definately not advocating that anyone practice on the roads. In my view, the best way to learn is on a trail bike on the beach. experiment a bit.

I suspect the cops could still do you, argue that the carpark was publicly accessible, counted as a roadway because vehicles were driving on it, blah blah.
But good for you - keep up the good work.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Just land with the gas on, and off the rpm limiter, I just give 'er a little extra just before touchdown.

I have a similar practice pad at the back of our building with a perfect little hump in the tar at the start to help lift the wheel.

I usually do it pretty early before anyone else is in, but this morning a work mate was just getting out of his car, so I HAD TO put on a show Perfect hight, perfect power perfect distance, soft put down. 9.5 - 9.8 - 9.7

What am I thinking this is totally irresponsible behaviour. Don't try this at home, kids.
