Just a random thought here but, maybe the vest makes you a target in their eyes. I wonder what their reaction would be if you road without it?

I bought the vest due to some boy racers whipping past me (5 cars) on the highway in dense fog...but the last car didn't see me...missed me by inches!! @ well over 160kph (nearly had to stop to change me undies lol).
Been Riding for over 28yrs and its getting worse every year! so to keep the better half happy (we just had our first Kid...Ryder) I bought a "glow" vest to try and be a bit more visible and stay alive for the family....go figure huh
