    6 cylinder beemer?

I could be tempted to like this idea as a sports tourer. Six is good!

And I do like the adaptive headlights, check out the video on the page.

Thanks for the link.I just went for a ride up Pike's Peak with Greg Tracy on the Ducati!Man that's scarey shit.Maybe it should be banned to P/T.
That headlight system on the beema is the shizzle eh.Methinks we see the future of lighting for production bikes of all makes.

This will certainly sound the shizzle...

Funny, we were just discussing this bike (and other six cylinder machines) at Mokau on Saturday over a coffee and under the sun.

    Twas heavenly.

If this is anything like their straight 6 car engines, it's going to be a very good engine indeed.

They have built em for decades so I assume it should be close

Perhaps another media suprise from BMW?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

After having the pleasure of thrashing a manual e36 325i, I have very high expectations from BMW.

    1600cc ???
    they're completely crazy....

do we all have to end up with a rocket 3?
6 cilinder is a big trouble, very complicated, very large, very expensive (think at spark plug change only...) but still interesting idea, if they manage do keep it light...
but with 1600 cc they are going to go way over any reasonable border, stated that many look at bmw as the touring leader...
entry level at 800cc, mid displacement at 1300cc, top at 1600.

    fuck.

(on the other hand, phenomenal the adaptive light: it was well the time, as on bikes the problem was way worst than on cars...)

    Goldwing slipped your mind?
Nevermind all the cruisers that are out there bigger than that (the rocket III isn't alone and I dont think they can be compared!)

Six cylinder engines have more merit in higher speed applications.

We had a V12 car for a while and when it was spooled up the lightweight pistons made a big difference to the top end schtonk and torque - compared to a V8.

Goldwing gets along similarly smartly with a big dose of revs and I really liked the way the rune did the biz.

Urano is used to Euro taxes on big bikes perhaps? No such levy here and 1400cc to 1800cc are reasonably commonplace
