    Got the KLX today...

...and man is it heavier than I thought it would be! Already dropped it once just moving it. No damage...have proven I can pick it up by myself. Which is the only positive so far. This incredibly nice guy at the bike shop rode it home for me and made it look so easy!

Have had to dig out access to my tiny back yard (don't ask) so the bike can be safely stored. Not sure I can get it back out! But then good luck to any would be thief either. Have decided I am having a crisis of confidence. But that may just be cause I currently hurt all over from too much strenuous work in the middle of a very hot day.

Right, going to go buy a cover now.

Heavy? 126 kg dry isn't heavy! Most other 250s would easily be at least 10kg heavier. Do you have a license?

Just heavier than I thought. Got a learners. I'm gonna have to get it lowered. Can't shuffle it around while on it...legs just too short. By about 2-3 inches.

How tall are you? You can cut some foam out of the seat. Make sure you get the suspension set to you weight.

5"5ish, 5"6 on a good day. I think I'll be sweet once I can put my feet down. I'm heavier than the bike by about 40lbs.

I was reading about the seat shaving idea. How many inches would that get?

You could take out around an inch or a little more with no problems.

I might have to look at that, but I'll probably have to tweak the bike too.

I just want to ride the darn thing! Without dropping it every 5 secs.
