Yes. Now he stalks me every day. It bothers my new partner greatly! Why can't he get past it and get a new boyfriend!

I've done it a couple of times in the past ... but always on the move - roll up alongside and wipe off the wing mirror ... in traffic you can open the throttle and be somewhere else before they can get your rego ... but haven't done it for more than 20 years ... got old and calmed down ...

A mate of mine used to carry a tyre iron held between his ape hangers with sellotape, so he could do damage to cars that annoyed him ... and that was in the '70s ... before road rage was invented ..

Which is different to cluttering up the forum crying about getting caught speeding how exactly?

I'm basically a commuter biker at this stage. I spend less than 1 hour on the bike most days, so I'm assuming my exposure to idiot cages is probably less than usual.

I think as you get more and more experienced, you learn a lot about how to position yourself on the road and ride a bit more aggressively, not 'wingmirror remover' aggressive but "has that coffee sipping lipstick applying bint seen me?" aggressive.

You may often get a 'bad feeling', and react to it, and only moments later something happens that would have wiped you out. This is because your brain picked up the cues subconsciously and told you about it. Self preservation. It's a wonderful thing.

As a result of this, the amount of times I've had people try to change lanes onto me etc has reduced drastically.

Fell about laughing ... yeah .. I deserved that comment ... I wasn't exactly crying ... just grumpy 'cause I can't ride my bikes ... and I found out that they calculate it on month dates, not weeks - so three months suspension is not 12 weeks (4 weeks times three months) ... I got suspended on June 1 and get to ride again on September 2 ... that's 13 weeks and a couple of days ... with about nine weeks to go ...

At least I wasn't in attack mode on anyone here ...

Wow, you must have been riding for a long, long time then...? (i.e. More than a million days)

Since before 730 B.C.E. by my calculation. Unless of course he anticipated investing some of those dollars wisely as he received them. Also adjusting for inflation. But there still remains the dilemma that motorcycles are a 20th Century invention. Of course there were horses, carts, and chariots etc. before then...

Maybe we are taking this too literally...

Time means little - distance and time is better ... last year I was commuting 55 ks one way ... down a sealed back country road in Hawke's Bay. Took me around 30 minutes ... I have done it in 28 minutes ... Most people do that trip in around 50 minutes

So that's around one hour each day on a bike - plus weekend riding as well.

(Yeah - I don't need reminding .. I'm currently walking 'cause they took my licence off me for speeding)

My exposure to idiots in cages was minimal .. just farm tractors, wandering stock, road kill, stock being moved, stock trucs, logging trucks, hawks, etc etc
