A lot of people must be intimidated by modern technology
Maybe alot of guys think they need more cc's as 250's are for gurls?

If they made a 450 version I'd be tempted

Mind you, power to weight wise vs a DR650, there's a hell of a lot less in it than the cc difference would suggest. The DR's gotta lot more boogie off the bottom o'course.

After reading the woeful article in Kiwirider about all the 'upgrades' they are doing to their long termer WR-R, which mainly seems to involve throwing overpriced non functional shiny bits from the Yam accessories catalog at it, I'm tempted to submit my own article with our real world, low $ mods & take the piss.

That's the world over though isn't it? The term farkels says it all.

    A sudden flurry of activity

I've been busy over on my ADVrider thread.

Highlights include: storage for spare brake and clutch levers; converting the bike into a camera tripod; and a huge sheet of purple adhesive vinyl

I'm starting to run low on necessary mods... the next big project will be getting rid of all the emissions crap in the exhaust so it no longer gets hot enough to melt my luggage
The road to hell is paved...

So purple adhesive vinyl was a necessary mod?

I'll make sure future writeups include lots of unflattering photos of me getting angry with said powertools. That should keep the smelly boys in check
