    My rego and warrant are "in the vicinity" of my number plate inside the back guard,have been stopped by mr plod ,told them where it was they bent down had a look(after cleaning plastic holder) no probs when i go for a wof.no tickets yet.

    got a letter back from council today. they defended the warden but waived the ticket anyway...

    Can't see why they defended when they are clearly wrong. Perhaps you should e-mail them this link

    In addition to the warrant of fitness, a motorcycle must display a current licence label and a number plate on the back (of the motorcycle) that can be clearly seen.
    And that really is all that is said about it. Mine is on my swingarm.

    They'll never admit they're in the wrong... Best letter i've ever had from them described exactly how the rego's WERE placed and told me to inform my members that they should place them as such.

    Buggar!! my warrant is in my wallet - but i am aware that I could get a fine for not having it displayed at all times

    I used to keep mine ( WOF that is ) in a jacket pocket . Got pulled up at a check point , cop wanted to see it , but as it was freezing cold and after watching me fumble around a bit trying to get gloves off etc , he just sent me on my way, no comment about having to have it displayed.
