    What gloves?

Hi I've got a pair of alpine star SP3's and want another pair but something maybe warmer and more water proof, these are really comfortable however.I wondered about the alpine star kevlar WR/V,probably less feel, anyone got any ideas?

Well I just bought a pair of Teknik "Thunder" winter glubbs and I would say they are the warmest I have used so far...sposta be waterproof as well.

Just an FYI, I recently picked up a pair of the Strada Brutale waterproof gloves for winter and while the watrerproofing works well, the stitching that holds the leather pieces onto the palm area is coming off. They were cheap at $69 though so I guess you get what you pay for.

Buy some Rainoff overgloves and carry those in your pocket until you need to put them on to keep the rain or wind out. That way you can wear any gloves you want with alacrity. I have ridden long enough to know that there are no such things as "waterproof gloves". Even gloves that have Goretex or similar liners still eventually leak. There's way too much assembly and too many seams involved for anything else to be possible. Rainoff overgloves? Completely different story. Buy some.

Them or a pair of bread-bags (extra tip: rubber bands are handy for keeping them on) and the only moisture will be from condensation.

Buy the gloves that offer the protection you need, feel comfortable, etc.

Then go for the 'Rain Offs'. It's local. Just check the sizing very carefully as they tend to be a bit on the big side.
