I have a pinlock visor, and also are a firm believer in them. Do note that they can still fog up in sever conditions. They just don't fog up as much as having no pinlock.
+1 for pinlock
I rode through the desert road recently on the trip back from Wellington to Auckland and had major fogging in that cold! Shoei Helmet.
Are pinlocks universal for all helmets? I did some searches and only came up with pinlocks to suit HJC, Arai and Shoei helmets. I have a Shark.
see here.... http://www.racevisors.co.uk/category...-visor-inserts
it shows pinlock inserts are made for some shark helmets, if your model isn't set up for one they list a universal DYI one.
Ask at your local bike shop they can get em in.I Asked at mine ,they didn't know what they where, but got one in for me.

+100 for pinlock. Suuuperb!
If you size up the insert Vs your visior & it fits inside the edges of your visior then its only a matter of drilling some holes & your done. I couldn't find any inserts for my Nitro but had a spare lying around for my Shoei, sized the insert up with the visior everything was well inside the edges of the visior, drilled some holes inserted the pins/insert made it a nice tight fit , DONE & it works primo !!!

From sparrowhawk september 2008:
"A tiny drop of washing-up liquid, you know the type you use to wash dishes in the sink. Smear it around the inside of the visor and leave it. Cheapest anti-fog treatment I know. That works for me too. A bit of dishwashing liquid on a soft cloth, then like polishing a car. Put it on, leave it for 5 minutes, buff it off. Lasts about a week between applications, and works wonders. makes the inside of your helmet smell like lemon too."
I can testify to it working in the depths of a Scottish winter and the solution being as cheap as chips appeals to a Scotsman :-)
Agreed - I've been using the system for the last 5 years or so - I still fog up a bit when it's really cold/wet, as for some reason I can't get a 100% seal with pinlock my new XR1000 (regardless of whether I use my tinted/clear visor) - but overall it seems the best solution, and much better than having to put cat crap etc on it all the time!
Better to keep quiet and have people think you're stupid than open your mouth and prove it!
