It was an RD04 and it sold for $1000. Reserve was $700.

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Shit ! I didnt see that one either.
Most likely splines gone on output shaft .... just weld a sprocket on and it'd be good for 30K , then just grind it off and weld another on .

Not the way to fix a fine piece of machinery from Mr Honda
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Any way is a good way to fix a bike if it keeps you riding
The shaft spline thing results from running the chain to tight ( Gotta keep them real loose on these beasts , probly same for xl ?)
The motors last for ever and its a real biggie to remove engine and split the cases ,mine's getting real worn so I guess the time is coming to start stabbing at it with the arc .
